Celebrate Martin Margiela

Time flies! It has been one week since I came back from Paris. The collections were so amazing this season, and all fashion designers received glory and applause from all over the fashion world. I would say, they showed us a full line of new discoveries and elegances this season.

It is very hard to pick one designer from this fabulous Paris collection, but I would say Martin Margiela is still our favorite! Regardless to say, we always fall in love with Margiela, but this upcoming collection is especially noteworthy as they condensed all their collections over the past 20 years into one! It started from the revival Jackets designed based on a 1989 style, in addition he designed miniature jackets as collector's items. Following in this collection is a mirror bag which Margiela also included the pants in a previous collection to coincide with the mirror bag. Margiela always seem to surprise us with his eclectic designs.

And more, I would like to share my personal Margiela collections on our site as I am a big fan of him. So here it is; "Celebrate Martin Margiela Vol.01" This photo is Margiela's Matreshka, one of his very rare items. I purchased it in Paris about five or six years ago. I believe it cost me about 60 or 70 Euros then. Matreshka doll originally came from Russia but this Margiela Matreshka is totally like his style. 7-dolls as a 1-set is just like the traditional Matreshka, but it's all solid creamy white color and came with a small box. The Margiela label with the numbers 0 to 23 is printed on the bottom of the largest doll with a circle around number 13, illustrating that the item is from Line 13, a collection of objects and publications. They are silently sleeping in its box inside a glass display case ... someday I would like to display them in my sweet future home!
