Remember these tops? They are from a few seasons ago by a newer brand... Insideout based in London. I really like the idea of printing garment graphics on garments. The designers James Woolfin and Yvette White do a great job of creating prints that are free-flowing and 3-dimensional using a monotone palette. The holiday season is really busy here at Aloha Rag so it has been a while since our last post. We are nearing the end of an exciting year and continue to push forward into 2008. Why not end the year by introducing something new and extraordinary... Saskia Diez from Germany is a professional goldsmith who has come back to jewelry design after her studies in industrial design. Her pieces are very elegant and uniquely designed with a new perspective. Aloha Rag has chosen to present 3 of Saskia's bracelets from her "Fine Collection". What makes these bracelets distinctive? Each feature the same well designed minimal closure in 18k gold so you can connect an individual piece with another to create a longer strand of the same or different links. Combine the round gold links with her cubic links or better yet combine one of them with her tiny fresh water pearls.

Mr. Y's short quest to obtain artwork by Judith Supine was a success! After discovering the artist's name who caught Mr.Y's eye on the streets of New York... the next step was to try to acquire some pieces from Judith Supine. We searched the internet for clues and found the Leonard Street Gallery in London. They were in possession of a few collages by Judith Supine for an exhibition called Urban Sprawl. Through LSGL, Mr. Y was able to purchase 3 original collages used to make the larger blow-ups seen on the streets he walked in NYC... He was very pleased.
I was browsing through a cd of photos our buyers took on their trip to New York for the Autumn/Winter 2007-2008 season and came across this picture. They have a great eye for design and beauty... and im not just referring to clothes. This shot was taken in the Rogan Showroom. All of these tees are currently available on our website but you better hurry... they are almost sold out. I think im going to purchase one; "Paris vs. Cleveland"?
