MARTIN MARGIELA LINE 01

Each season, as I take photos of Aloha Rag's merchandise, i get to see all the little nuances that make every item unique. It could be the designers use of color, choice of materials, or maybe the placement of a seam or single stitch... something; a little detail always makes an item stand out in my mind. This item is usually never something I see for myself, but rather for someone else. A few years ago, it was a black MARGIELA long sleeve top with a zipper detail down the side of its neck. Next it was a (now famous) JUNYA WATANABE denim bag, followed by the MENDED VEIL Upside Down Heart necklace. A red MARTIN MARGIELA cardigan with "gathering stitches" on the inside elbow and down the upper back is my pick for this season. The stitching really makes this usually "conservative" garment chic.
